Good food feeds the soul & makes us stronger.
Good food feeds the soul & makes us stronger.
Feast for Good is a Charlotte, NC nonprofit 501(c)(3) that organizes and activates resources to nourish cancer patients. We source and deliver local meals to those actively undergoing treatments with limited to no access to food due to financial, logistical, familial, or physical challenges.
We are currently building our operational infrastructure and could use your help to get delicious nourishment to those braving cancer!
Our inspiration
Hi! I'm Kristi Martin, Founder of Feast for Good.
On December 26, 2018, I learned I had Acute Myeloid Leukemia and was directed to report straight to the hospital to start intensive chemotherapy. Shortly thereafter, I learned that I had a blood mutation that would never really go away so they started prepping me for a bone marrow stem cell transplant.
On April 9, 2019, I celebrated my new re-birthday because an anonymous bone marrow stem cell donor (who I've now learned is from Germany) gave me a second chance at life.
During treatments, a support system rallied around my husband & I providing meals and financial assistance...so I want to give back to rally around those in need!

At the time of diagnosis, I was the owner of FEAST Food Tours & Culinary Events which I started in February 2012. Prior to that, I was in the event planning & hospitality industry since 1998.
Those local culinary & hospitality communities came to our rescue bringing delicious nourishment to my hospital room & at home for weeks on end. Having meals on-hand helped us focus on my health & recovery and reduce worry.
Many braving cancer treatments do not have a support system, a caregiver, financial stability, or may have uprooted their lives to take up residence in a hotel to be near the hospital and don't have access to freshly cooked meals.
I want to change that.
